Alexandra Gnoske has always had a passion
for nature and wildlife. She has taught environmental education and art to
children throughout her career. Ms. Gnoske received a B.S. in Wildlife
Biology from Colorado State University and a law degree specializing in
Environmental Law from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark
College.
Ms. Gnoske is the Founder and President
of Recycle Me, an
organic cotton clothing company in Chicago, where she lives with her husband
and three children.
Ms. Gnoske is published in the National Library of
Poetry.
Louie Salas was the inspiration for Loui Saves the Earth. When Ms. Gnoske was 19 she wrote and illustrated the book for her nephew as a gift, while studying for finals at CSU.
Louie Salas, who is now all grown up, is very much an eco dude, skateboarding and taking the train around Chicago. He is also a musician, singer, and song writer.
